【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusedtodeterminethechemicalpropertiesoftanneryliquorswhicharerelevantforthevegetabletanningprocessandinfluencetheastringencyofvegetabletanningliquors.Theastringencyofliquorsisdependentuponthesolidsandtannincontentandtheacidity.Thismethodprovidesastandardprocedurefordeterminingthesepropertiesforanysampleofvegetabletanningliquor.Thespecimensarealiquotsfromtheanalyticalsolutionpreparedfromthesampleoftanneryliquorcollectedforthispurpose.Thetotalsolids,solublesolids,andnon-tanninscontentaredeterminedandthenthetannincontentoftheliquorsampleiscalculated.BecausetheamountoftanninperliterofanalyticalsolutionislessthanthatrequiredforTestMethodD6401,atablespecifyingthequantityofpreparedhidepowdertobeusedforsolutionswithlowertanninconcentrationsisincludedinthistestmethod.ThetotalacidityoftheliquorsampleisdeterminedbyoneoftwotitrametricproceduresdescribedinTestMethodD6410.Theresultsofthistestmethodaredependentonagreatmanyvariablesbutparticularlyupon:thetemperatureconditionsunderwhichthesolutionswerepreparedandstoredandthetemperatureatwhichthecurrentanalysisisperformed;theuniformityandconsistencyoftheKaolinpastelayerdepositedontothefilterpaper;therateofsolutionrun-outfromthepipette;conditionsrelatedtothepropertiesofthehidepowderusedtoreactwiththetannincontentofthesolution;etc.Itis,therefore,essentialthatthemethodbefollowedexactlyinordertoobtainreproducibleresultsbothamongspecimenswithinalaboratoryandforanalysesbetweenlaboratories.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheanalysisoftanneryliquorsmadeupfromvegetabletanningmaterials.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
